graceofnine-deactivated20110117 asked: I find Meryl Streep difficult to watch because she seriously scares me so much. She's insane in every one of her roles - Mamma Mia included. But no, I haven't seen either of those. I'll have to add them to my viewing list :)

I think she overacts. And she constantly chooses shit roles. She seemingly tries to narrow her audience to please 40 - 60 year old women, doesn’t make sense. Oh and Mamma Mia was probably the worst movie I ever saw. Just sayin’.

graceofnine-deactivated20110117 asked: I LOVE Charlie Kaufman. I watched Adaptation a few weeks ago with Jac and it pretty much blew my mind. Philip Seymour Hoffman is great as well, although I felt really let down by his performance in Capote. But that film in general was horrible so I guess its not all his fault.

Yeah, I loved Adaptation, and I usually can’t stand Nicholas Cage and Meryl Streep. It was that good.  I’ll have to copy your posting style and put up this particular monologue from Adaptation I like. If you like Hoffman and good movies, I guess you’ve seen Magnolia? If not, watch. Oh and Hoffman in Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead, so good.

Oh well, my embarrassing mistake then! Also, how good are Charlie Kaufman movies!? Not to mention how powerfully Philip Seymour Hoffman can act…
